What is a PDF

Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF) is used to retain the original look and feel of a particular document. When a document is in the portable document format, it can be downloaded over the Internet to be viewed or printed exactly as the document should appear. Anyone with a browser and the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software can instantly access PDF files on the Web. If you do not have the Acrobat Reader, then you will receive an "Application Not Found" error when you click on the PDF file.

Steps to View PDF Files:

1)Go to Adobe's website and download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
2)CLOSE all applications and install Acrobat on your PC.
3)Restart your browser.
4)While viewing documents in the document library, click on the Acrobat icon and Acrobat will appear inside your browser with your document loaded.
You can now use Acrobat, with its wide range of customizing options, to view and print the document. After you are finished with the document, you return to the previous page by clicking on BACK in your browser.
